• Anchorage Capital Group, L.L.C., along with EIG Global Energy Skadden Partnersand Guggenheim Partners, LLC, in their $1 billion investment in 9.25% senior secured second-lien notes due 2020 and perpetual convertible preferred units of Breitburn Energy Skadden PartnersLP, a publicly traded independent oil and gas master limited partnership (MLP) focused on the acquisition, development and production of oil and gas properties throughout the United States.  The transaction involved complex structuring issues to navigate tax concerns as well as federal land lease/BLM statutes.
